Mexican ceramics , and spanish ceramicsThe ship sank in a hurricane, shortly after arriving at the Presidio Santa Maria de Galve, near Pensacola. She was built in Campeche. This finding confirms that the ships built in the New World were made with a flatter bottom than the ships built in Europe, so that they could sail in shallower waters. She was armed with 44 guns and was carrying 450-460 tons.
Earthenware jugs, Mexican and Spanish ceramics, tools, iron nails and numerous objects made of wood were extracted. Part of the hull and the keel are preserved underwater.
