On October 17, she left Havana carrying mail from the Spanish Mainland. On the 26th, she was hit by a hurricane over the Florida Keys, and ran aground at Elliot Key. The crew was found on this key by a pilot boat, which took them to Providencia and from there to Havana on an English warship.

She was wrecked at midnight on the reefs of Elliot Key, Florida, after being hit by a violent storm.
