The Abaco Islands lie in the northern Bahamas and include the islands of Great Abaco and Little Abaco, as well as a large number of small islands or cays.

The ship named Rosa carried 300 slaves. All crew members and slaves were saved. This ship could also be the one known as Santa Rosa.
