Ángel Villafañe

Angel Villafañe, Spanish navigator and explorer, born in 1504, was famous for his many attempts to establish settlements on the coasts of the present-day United States.

He fought alongside Hernán Cortés and participated in the rescue of the survivors of the first settlement in Florida.
